Arnold P. Robin MD FACS CPE RPhS DABVLM

Dr. Arnold P. Robin is a nationally recognized surgeon and phlebologist. He has over 30 years of experience caring for patients with vein disorders. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine as well as a board certified surgeon and fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also holds the RPhS certificate in ultrasonography.

Dr. Robin earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana (Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society) and his MD from Rush University (Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society). He completed his surgical residency at the University of Illinois/Cook County Hospital and a fellowship at Columbia University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Robin has served in leadership positions. For example, he was Associate Director of Cook County Trauma Service, Chief of General Surgery and Director of Surgical Education at University Of Illinois. In private practice he was Chief of Surgery and President of the Medical Staff at Northwest Community Hospital.

Dr. Robin was a partner at Northwest Suburban Surgical Specialists and subsequently went on to found Vein Experts. He is a member of numerous national and international organizations including the American College of Surgeons, the American Vein and Lymphatic Society, and the American Society for Physician Leadership. He also holds the Certified Physician Executive (CPE) designation and has authored over 150 scientific publications and presented at numerous national and international conferences.

Dr. Robin is currently a member of the medical staff of Northwest Community Hospital. He resides in Evanston and interests include travel, aviation, golf, fine wine, number and word puzzles, limerick writing, and spending time with his family.

Dean T. Velis MD FACP DABVLM

Dr. Dean T. Velis is a native Chicagoan, having grown up in west suburban Berwyn. He has more than 25 years of experience as a physician and phlebologist. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and by the American Board of Phlebology (Inaugural Examination), and the American Heart Association.

Dr. Velis attended Northeastern Illinois University and received his undergraduate degree with honors in Biology. Dr. Velis was awarded his MD from the University of Athens School of Medicine, in Athens, Greece, with honors. Afterwards, he served his internship and residency at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois.

His post-graduate work included a research position at the University of Athens studying and analyzing the immunology of infectious disease. In this role, his focus was on patients afflicted with Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).

Dr. Velis has authored and coauthored numerous paper. He has presented at symposia such as at meetings of the American College of Phlebology and the American Society of Microbiology.

He is a licensed physician and surgeon in Illinois, California, Wisconsin and the European Economic Community. He is a consultant to the State of Illinois Department of Human Services In addition, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Also, he serves on the faculty of the American College of Phlebology.
